Chuck,

Just wondering what your plans for GL might include, generally. It's been a while for someone with a new take on a GL to be at DCA, and given all the current GL stuff going on at DC (the colored rainbow of emotions and whatever) I'm just wondering what Kyle (everyone's favorite!) might be getting into at DCA!

Until Chuck joins this board I'll toss some answers out.

GL #2 is my last solo issue. Chucks going to take up co-writing duties with me on issue #3 until I'm done at #6, then he takes over solo from #7 and on. He's going to handle all of the John Stewart scenes and related scenes, and I will be tackling Kyle Rayner. Chuck's doing it that way because John will eventually be the title's leading character as Kyle moves on elsewhere. Chuck was great at incorporating my ideas into his work that I wasn't going to handle in my limited run. Just too many things for a short run and I didn't wanna force anything in that didn't work. So I am excited about that. Chuck's really looking foward to exploring John Stewart and I hope that with my two issues he's got a great foundation to build on.

But you can expect Manhunters, Qwardians, Cold Flame, Dark Lantern, Darkseid and more about the established new Yellow Ringbearer Oblivion...and much more. It's gonna be a good run. For my part I'm really taking the best of my original run and condensing it down to hit all of the high points. With luck I can turn this sites opinion around on Kyle.

Well, at the very least I hope to help solidify John Stewart as the premier Green Lantern of Earth. Even though Tony (SCU) is a GL I have a tough time considering him a GL in context of The Corps. But, I would like to try a few BatB issues using all 3 of the GL's on Earth in seperate settings dealing with just a part of a big plot thing. So I'll have to get Brashear's permission to use Guy...when I think of what this whole thing really is. It'd be cool to pull Tony into something that's truly GLish and out of his element and comfort zone. Where in contrast John and Guy will florish.

...as I think of it I should include Alan Scott in this too.

My single GL issue has been renamed Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn. It's going to be a giant-sized issue that will serve as the prelude to both Green Lantern and Green Lantern: Emerald Legacy, by Tony Thornley and Chuck Rowland respectively. My committment to GL is effectively severed taking a giant weight off my shoulders.

So once I'm done with DD for MO I'll be working on possibly 2 issues of SCU in a row.
