Earth 2 SFO « Thread Started on Jun 6, 2008, 8:22am »
Earth 2 will be an event similar to 10K. A multiple chapter SFO with a one shot issue. None of this will officially start until the completion of the first arc of JUSTICE LEAGUE. This Earth 2 is based on the (Post-Crisis) Anti-Matter Universe (from the JLA: Earth 2 mini series by Morrison). So along with the opposite history (England fighting for freedom from America, President Boothe assassinated by Lincoln) there are the opposite counterparts.
Right now:
Clayton - Supergirl & Legion of Super-Villains Ed - Wonder Woman (not Lois Lane Superwoman) Erik - Zod & Krypton Matthias - Young Offenders
ummm... i thought this was earth 2? anyway, how about a yellow lantern corps then?
I'd keep an eye on GREEN LANTERN to see what I'm doing with the yellow ringers. It ties back to "Circle of Fire" and will eventually tie back to Nero also.

Lex Luthor Secret Files & Origins
I wanted to put together a book about Lex and his Presidency. Have us as a site come together and give him a clearly defined agenda for his Administration, publically and privately. It'd also serve to give us a glimpse into his personal life. Doing everyday things, like I wanted to do a Chapter with him actually being a father to Lena (whom he didn't give over to Brainiac as that never happened as far as I'm concerned) and establish that she is to be the heir to his legacy that he's using his Presidency to create.
Part of that is because in DC Comics he never accomplished much and I felt he acted far too irrational during his term, like shooting people in the head in the oval office. Regardless of his strength and power I doubt his influence runs that deep to make THAT disappear. Especially with the Secret Service. They ALL can't be his men. In general I don't think Lex acted very intelligently at all during that gimick, and it was brilliant.
I also felt that he acted very contradictory to his nature. Lex Luthor is a self made man. Lied, cheated, stole and killed his parents (allegedly) to achieve his rise in power. He believes in the power of man, spirit and flesh. He despises Superman because he stole his city's love away from him, creates a dependency on him by the public (when Lex doesn't depend on anybody but himself) and is an ALIEN! Lex refer's to Superman most often as 'Alien'... Yet, you're telling me that with ALL of Lex Luthor's power, influence, money and the pinnacle of companies with LexCorp and access to technology he's going to turn around and make deals with DARKSEID for some green suit?!
NO!!
Lex would reverse engineer that shit and make it built by human hands with human technology! Or you're gonna tell me he'd sacrifice his own infant daughter for instant access to B13 technology? He's depending on an ALIEN for his technology? WRONG! He'd sit back, and relish in the opportunity to crack it himself. He's insanely intelligent, cocky/arrogant AND he can back it up. He'd tell Brainiac to go fuck himself, Lex Luthor only needs time to unlock the secrets of B13.
...So part of this was also to help make Lex more consistent in DCA and what I've already established and am building in SUPERMAN with this whole Zod arc. One of the better parts I touched on in #9 was Lex's love for science and how much he missed getting his hands 'dirty' playing and unlocking the secrets and exploring the mystery of the unknown.
Lex Luthor's attitude would dictate that if he hates HEROES for those reasons, then he'd also hate certain VILLAINS too for the very same reasons! Just because he's a Superman villain shouldn't and DOESN'T necessarily mean he'd jump in bed with anybody else who's also a villain.
To me, Lex Luthor would respect a guy like Batman for using his mind, developing his body and being the pinnacle of human achievement. The only two reasons he'd have umbridge with the guy is because he sits in opposition of him and he works side-by-side with Superman (and the like), but that wouldn't take away his respect for what Batman has achieved on his own, without the reliance on aliens or other extra-ordinary means.
So, in the same vein he'd only respect bad guys who were the same. But, if they were anarchanistic (which really isn't the right word, but I guess the point is there) like the Joker then he'd have issues with them.
- But, I guess that's only my interpretation on him. I know he's not above using meta-villains as tools or pawns (they're expendable), but I can't ever see him being PARTNERS with one. It's hypocritical to his own reasons to hate Superman.
